According to Philly.com, three Phillies are already set for postseason surgery.
Brad “Vegas Strip” Lidge and Scott Eyre will have loose particles removed from their elbows — Lidge from his right arm and Eyre from his left arm. Hopefully, the surgery will lessen any pain felt by Lidge and he can regain his old form next years.
Raul Ibanez will also have surgery to repair a sports hernia. He was not the same player after a mid-summer stint on the disabled list. Maybe the injury had something to do with that.
