Bengals, Jets, Eagles, Cowboys set to start NFL Playoffs

The NFL playoffs start today with a Wild Card doubleheader on NBC featuring two Week 17 rematches that ended in shutouts. The Philadelphia eagles will try to exact revenge on a Dallas Cowboy team that spanked them 24-0 a week ago, while the Cincinnati Bengals will try to make up for their 37-0 loss to the New York Jets.

Who will survive to play in the Divisional round?

The Bengals and Jets kick off the NFL playoffs

NEW YORK JETS at CINCINNATI BENGALS: The Bengals have had a trying few weeks that culminated with the death of receiver Chris Henry. Chad Ochocinco has been especially hurt by Henry’s death and is looking to honor his fallen teammate. Ochocinco loves the stage and there is no bigger one than a home NFL playoff game. After starting the season 7-2, the Bengals lost four of their last seven games to finish 10-6. Do they have one last big game in them? We think so. Look for a much closer game with the Bengals defense harassing Jets signal caller Mark Sanchez all day. Carson Palmer and Ochocinco will pull out a win in the end. THE PICK: Bengals 17, Jets 10.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at DALLAS COWBOYS: For a complete breakdown, see our story from earlier today. The fact is, the Cowboys can not control the Eagles offense the way they did a week ago. The Eagles were only held without a touchdown one other time this week. DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and the Birds will make plays today. And, the Eagles will blitz and force Tony Romo to throw the ball earlier than he wants to today. However, the Cowboys have playmakers as well, plus home field advantage. THE PICK: Dallas 23, Eagles 20.
