Donovan McNabb is owed a $6.2 million roster bonus on May 5.

Mike Missanelli and 97.5 The Fanatic held an Eagles forum today and a few good nuggets of information came out of the show. One that really struck us was the news that the Eagles owe Donovan McNabb a $6.2 million roster bonus on May 5. We wonder how many Coronas that will buy No. 5 on Cinco de Mayo.

The fact is, the Eagles will likely not want to pay him that bonus if he doesn’t have an extension worked out. Why would you pay that to a lame duck quarterback? It’d make more sense to extend him and use that roster bonus as a signing bonus.

The chances of that happening are slim. This will just add more fuel to the fire that the Eagles will look to trade McNabb during the offseason.

While we think moving McNabb is a mistake, the fact is his time as an Eagle is likely finished for a number of reasons.
