Michael Vick’s Neighborhood Dog Watch is at it again. This time, it’s the American Kennel Club who’s after Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles.
On December 23 Vick was named the Eagles recipient of the Ed Block Courage Award, which is voted on by the players on each NFL team.
Last week, a month after the award was announced, the AKC sent the Eagles a ltter urging the team to recite and denouncing Vick as a worth recipient.
Vick has done nothing wrong off the field since paying his debt to society. We’re not Vick’s biggest supporter on the field, but he is trying to get his life back on track.
While nobody should or will ever forget the horrible things he did in his past, the nation is based on second chances. It’s time groups such as the AKC leave Vick alone and stop using his name as a way to garner publicity for themselves.
