Just when you thought nothing new would jump out at you as the Sixers putrid season slowly pushes toward a painful, drawn out close, Andre Iguodala has a new excuse for his poor play.

It’s not the coach’s fault this time. Now, it’s his foot.

Andre Iguodala might want to invest in some hipper shoes to fix his foot problems.

Seems that young Andre has been hampered by plantar fasciitis in his right foot the last couple of weeks. That’s the same injury that shelved the Eagles’ Jeremy Maclin for two weeks last season.

We don’t want to get into the habit of delving into our innate negative side by calling player injuries excuses when they really are hurt. But, in this case, we almost have to do so.

We just want this season over with and then dream of John Wall in a Sixers uniform next year.
