Andy Reid never likes to sit around during the draft, and this year is no different. The Eagles traded up from 24 to 13, by giving up both third round picks.
With the 13th pick, the Eagles selected standout Michigan pass rusher Brandon Graham. The move is a great one in that the Eagles need to get a playmaker to line up opposite Trent Cole. Pass rush is essential for ballhawking corners like Asante Samuel. With the loss of Sheldon Brown, the eagles will need to rattle the QB.
Brandon Graham will line up oppostie Trent Cole next year.
Jon Gruuden and Tom Jackson love this guy. We’ll see. Let’s hope it works out better than Jerome McDougle.
The Eagles still retain their two second round picks in a very deep defensive draft. Don’t be surprised to see the Eagles grab a corner and safety in the second round tomorrow night.
