A day after moving up to snag Michigan DE Brandon Graham, the Eagles still need to address a depleted secondary.
Two mock drafts for the second round have the Birds using that pick on USC’s Taylor Mays.
Rumors have it that the Eagles aren’t in live with Mays and he won’t be an option with the 37 pick. If he is still there at 55, then Howie Roseman and Andy Reid may grab him.
Remember, this is the Donovan McNabb pick and the Eagles will want a guy who they can look at and say, “that’s who we got for 5.”
With questions about Mays, who is 6-3, 230 pounds, I just don’t see him being the guy.
Not when the team has to address CB, LB and the offensive line. I would not be surprised to see the Eagles draft OLB Sergio Kindle from Texas, or shock the world and snag Notre Dame wideout Golden Tate.
A converted RB, Tate could provide the explosive playmaker who can line up in the slot that the Eagles now lack without Westbrook or Curtis.
For what it’s worth, Banks has the Eagles taking OL Vladimir Ducasse with the 55th pick. Kirwan has them bringing DT Lamarr Houston from Texas.
