Who saw this coming? Seriously. Who?

A team virtually left for dead toward the end of the season, and again after being down 3-0 in the second round of the NHL Playoffs finds itself up 1-0 in the Eastern Conference Finals after a 6-0 ass-whooping of the Montreal Canadians on Sunday night.

The Black and Orange, fresh off a dramatic series-clinching win against the Bruins on Friday, came out swinging and never even let the Canadians sniff the scoreboard.

Braydon Coburn scored the only goal of the first period. The Flyers followed up with three goals in the first half of the second period thanks to James van Riemsdyk, Danny Briere and Simon Gagne.

Scott Hartnell and Claude Giroux rounded out the scoring for the gritty guys from South Philly.

Michael Leighton, making just his second start of the playoffs, continued his incredibly strong play by saving all 28 shots on goal.

The Flyers will look to extend their winning streak to six games on Tuesday night.
