With the recent NFL Draft in the books and the lack of high draft picks spent on cornerbacks, it’s not surprising the Eagles wanted another body in camp.
They now have one in the form of corner-turned-safety-turned-corner Macho Harris.
The man thrown in to succeed legend Brian Dawkins has been moved to corner.
Thanks to the Sheldon Brown trade, Harris will likely win the starting spot opposite stud tackler Asante Samuel. Ellis Hobbs, fresh off neck surgery, is the only competition.
We like the move for three reasons. First, it’s Harris’ natural position. Second, he knows the defense.
Finally, and most importantly, he is a hitter. He isn’t Brown, but he’s better than the mess they would have run out there.
Now, will Andy Reid dress up like the village people everytimechis new CB is a true “Macho man?”
