If someone said the Flyers would score more in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals than the Phillies powerhouse lineup the last five days, you would have bet the house on the Orange and Black in Vegas.
And, you’d now be homeless.
Who would have thought the Flyers could outscore the Phillies over nearly a week, 5-4, and lose? Who?
Yet, the Flyers five goals against the Blackhawks were not enough thanks to a less than stellar defense as they lost, 6-5.
Game 2 will take place Memorial Day night in Chicago. The Flyers just need to steal one in Chicago.
If we’ve learned anything this Spring, it’s that you can’t count the Flyers down. Ever.
