If you’re one of the hundreds of thousands of Philly sports fans unable to truly take in and appreciate every pitch of Roy Halladay’s perfect masterpiece from Saturday night due to the Flyers Stanley Cup Finals game, you’re in luck. Sort of.
Roy Halladay's perfect game, the first ever by a game named Roy, will be shown agains Monday night on CSN.
According to the Inquirer’s Michael Klein, Comcast SportsNet will replay the game again — on Monday night. Start time? Try 8 p.m., precisely when the puck hits the ice for Game 2 of the Flyers-Blackhawks series.
While it’s nice for CSN to air the game again so quickly, why go up against the Flyers game again? That’s the reason many people missed much of the game in the first place. What’s wrong with Monday afternoon since it’s a holiday.
Granted, CSN is looking for ratings and Halladay’s gem could be the only thing to draw some Philly sports fans away from the Flyers pursuit of Lord Stanley’s Cup. The fact remains, however, that it’s still bad timing for many.
Guess we’ll have to wait for the next postponed game to see the 20th perfect game in Major League history again.
