Uncle Charlie needs anger management

From bumbling idiot to lovable grandfather, Charlie Manuel’s image in Philly was forever changed by the event that culminated in the city’s first parade down Broad St. in 25 years.

We all love Charlie, and now it’s time his baseball family — the team and fans — staged an intervention. Manuel needs anger management training.

The worst umpire in baseball, CB Bucknor, showed his lack of compassion last night. He ejected Charlie Manuel after the Phils skipper had to watch his closer Brad Lidge implode.

The Phils skipper has been rung up by umpires in three of the team’s last four games. Of course, the Phillies are 2-1 without the skipper finishing the game. Then again, there have been issues involving Brad Lidge in two of the three games, as well.

Charlie, the Phillies pay you to be in the dugout. Find a way to stay there. Even if the call is blatantly wrong today, just remember CB Bucknor is on the field. He’s thrown people out of games for getting dirt on their shoelaces.

In all seriousness, we don’t blame Charlie for getting tossed at all. We’d have done the same thing, especially when CB Jackass is behind home plate. If there’s a worse umpire in baseball, we have yet to find him.

With Mr. Senility’s pick of Infante, he surely goes down now as the MLB village idiot. Thank God your team won’t be making the playoffs this year (so no Infante and Howard over Votto next year).
