Racking up YAC yards and sprinting 50 yards to paydirt while igniting the passion of 65,000 people on fall Sunday afternoons is what we picture when thinking of DeSean Jackson. But, what’s he do off the field when he’s not playing video games?
Anyone can ask DJacc football questions, but your DailyPhiladelphian couldn’t let an interview go without trying to find out what, specifically, he likes about our city in addition to the passionate fan base.
“I like Center City and the activities there in community,” said Jackson. “I don’t really go out too much. I like to play video games and just chill at home.”
Which cheesesteak does DeSean Jackson prefer? We cornered him on this and other Philly questions.
Of course, in a city known for food, you have to find out his favorite spots. He listed Del Frisco’s and The Capital Grille as those among the top of his list. Then, we had to corner him on the best cheesesteak in town. Unlike Terrell Owens who refused to eat one because it’d ruin his girlish figure, Jackson didn’t shy from the question.
“I love Pat’s,” he said. “They take care of me. American cheese and fries.”
Clearly, Jackson is adapting to the East Coast well, even if we disagree with his cheesesteak selection. Everyone knows Tony Luke’s rocks.
It’s all about the roll, DeSean. In time, we’re confident he’ll learn.

Amen on the Tony Luke’s, just don’t tell too many people. Let the tourists have Pat’s and Geno’s.
Everyone knows Jim’s on 4th & South is the best (with Tony Luke’s being my #2), but like JoeDiver1119 says, don’t tell too many people, I don’t want all the tourists clogging it up.
