The Eagles followed up a draft-day like flurry of activity on Saturday with two transactions Sunday morning.
OG Max Jean-Gilles, released yesterday after the Eagles failed to jettison fraud o-lineman Stacy Andrews out of town by 6 p.m., has resigned with the Birds. Represented by Drew Rosenhaus, we can just assume there wasn’t a high demand for MJG. otherwise, Rosenhaus would have finagled a nice signing bonus for the career back-up.
The Eagles have brought Max Jean-Gilles back into the nest.
The Eagles now have a 53-man roster. However, expect there to still be some movement between now and the season-opener next Sunday against the Packers. With just three safeties and still in need of an experienced back-up tight end who can block, the Eagles are sure to scour the waiver wire today.
Also, 2010 draft pick Jeff Owens was officially inked to the taxi squad. “I’m on it now,” Owens tweeted this morning in reference to a question asking if he’d sign with the Eagles today.
