I knew it was too good to be true. Three months without any incidents involving Philly fans was starting to make me think maybe, just maybe, we could get to the end of the year without any incidents since we launched the Moronic Fan Watch on June 13 of this year.
You can forget that, now, thanks to some dope we’ll refer to as Redman. If you know Redman’s identity, we’d love to know it. I’m sure we’ll find out in an hour or two once police release information on the clown. If you work with him, tell him thanks for continuing to ruin our reputation.
If you missed it, check out the video. We applaud Braves outfielder Matt Diaz for tripping the jackass. But, he should have cleated him, too. (Thanks to The Fightins for pointing out the video.)
Philly fans have an unfair and undeserved reputation as the worst fans in sports. Tomorrow, you’ll hear about Santa Claus, snowballs and the past incidents again. And, they keep getting dragged out because of idiots like Redman. The only way to improve our image is to stop boorish behavior. Granted, it’s only a couple of village idiots, but still, that’s all it takes.
Luckily, Philly is simply in a four-way tie for third place in the Moronic Fan Watch standings with Baltimore, Chicago and Cleveland. New York still leads the race with Los Angeles just a point behind.

hahahaha sean hagan my man
I unfortunately had to watch that game via sports south. They were the most atrocious announcers ever, blaming wacky shit for the loss. Braves suck and so does the fan base. We’ve sold out over 100 home games in a row, don’t even try to lever this as a poor fanbase. Redman for the win! Greenman is the official philadelphia mascot. Braves have mr. met as their mascot. Shame on that team
Please, this is getting ridiculous. People saying “How horrible” or “This only happens in Philly.” This happens in Europe every other soccer game. One time, the players felt the cops were too rough with the guy and one of the soccer players kicked the cop right in his face and it started a riot and the cops had to run out of the stadium.
@ PhilliesAllTheWay… same here. I hate the sports south announcers. They blow and so does the ATL fanbase. I can’t wait till October 2nd. I may run out onto Turner field. LMAO! Just kidding. And you wouldn’t believe how many Eagles bandwagon jumpers there are down here since we have Vick now.

I was at the game and everyone was laughing and thought it was hilarious including myself. What is up with you and all the announcers acting as if this is “so moronic”?? This type of stuff is what makes this city, what other sports town is this crazy over their sports?!?! None!
Look, he just wanted memories? How awesome wouldnt you think that if you were older, and your telling you kids, once I was the center of attention at a baseball game, because I have a good sense of humor? ALSO the Phils are amazing and the Braves… they need to be spit on if you ask me!!
At what point during the game did this happen?
