Micahel Vick was inserted as starter because of his elusiveness in the pocket. That came through clearly in the final two minutes of the first half. With the defense pressuring him, Vick eluded the jags and found Jeremy Maclin in the right corner of the end zone to give the Eagles a 14-3 lead heading into the locker room at the half.
Vick has had two big plays, the other a 61-yard touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson.
Thus far, Vick is just 10-of-21 passing, but has racked up 161 yards and two scores. Jackson has three catches for 97 yards, while Maclin has two for 30 yards.
The Eagles ground game needs to get going, and fast. Entering the game as the second ranked rushing offense, the eagles have found running room scarce. Mike Bell leads the team with five rushes for a paltry 13 yards.
