In the land of basketball misery, Sixersville has not had much to cheer about. Leading the New Orleans Hornets by 22 at halftime? A pipe dream? Right?

Not on Sunday. The Sixers held the Hornets to less than 15 percent shooting en route to pasting Chris Paul and his squad, 45-23. Paul paced the Hornets with ten points in the first half, six of which he earned at the charity stripe.

For the Sixers, Andre Iguodala had ten points and seven boards at the half. Young gun Jrue Holiday added eight points and three boards in the impressive effort.

Lou Williams dropped nine points and four dimes off the bench.

The Sixers have had leads like this before (see Hawks, Atlanta) and failed to fionish. The team must come out and continue playing tenacious D to close out a win over one of the Western Conferences better squads.
