Already without Stewart Bradley and Brandon Graham, the Eagles defense took another blow late in the first half when rookie safety Nate Allen went down to the turf in pain.
Allen, the second round pick from the Donovan McNabb deal, appeared to just collapse to the turf after a catch by Mario Manningham. Allen was not touched on the play.
We are far from experts, but the way he went down reminded us of the Correll Buckhalter knee injuries from back in the day. A torn ACL is not out of the question.
Taken off on the cart, we don’t think you’ll see Allen again this year, let alone today. Now, Kurt Coleman will step in his place.
