Barring a disastrous outing in East Rutherford, NJ, on Sunday, DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy should both surpass the 1,000 yard plateau. Jackson needs 28 yards through the air, while McCoy needs 28 yards on the ground.
They would be the first Eagles teammates to amass a thousand yards receiving and on the ground since Kevin Curtis and Brian Westbrook in 2007. That year, Curtis had 1110 yards receiving and Westbrook had 1333 yards rushing.
DeSean Jackson and LeSean McCoy are both poised to surpass 1,000 yards on Sunday. Each needs just 28 yards to do so.
Ironically, it was Westbrook who led the team in receptions that year with 90 as he tacked on 771 yards through the air to surpass 2,000 total yards that season.
This year, McCoy, the second year back from Pittsburgh, leads the Eagles with 70 catches through the first 13 games. He has 538 yards through the air entering Sunday’s game, good for 1,510 total yards. If he can average 163 yards a game the final three weeks, he could top 2,000 all-purpose yards.
For now, DeSean and LeSean will likely concentrate on getting the “W” against the Giants and going over 1,000 yards.
