We hate bloggers who throw out meaningless and baseless trade rumors as if they were running a fantasy team. So, let me tell you what the Sixers should do…
Trade for Danilo Gallinari, today. Call up Stan Kroenke and threaten to sick Vincent Kennedy McMahon on him if he doesn’t send us the Italian sharpshooter.
Seriously, the one thing the Sixers lack is a guy who can knock down the three. Gallinari can do that and more. Is he a star in waiting? Maybe not. Do the Sixers need another small forward? Not really. Not when you have Iguodala, Turner and Thaddeus Young.
Danilo Gallinari would fill a huge hole on the Sixers. The team needs a guy who can step out and drain the three-ball.
But, they need a guy who can fill the basket from the outside and spread out a defense. Gallinari is that guy with his nearly 35 percent three-point average this year. His 15.9 points per game would also be a major contribution to this team. Yes, he is 6-10, but could be a poor man’s Dirk Nowitzki in time.
The Sixers could send Young and a pick to Denver. Honestly, we love Young and his versatility. However, he’s not starting here and likely won’t as long as Iggy and Brand are here and healthy. The Sixers also didn’t extend him last summer. There is no guarantee he returns here after this year.
Denver is clearly rebuilding and Young could be a nice piece for them. The deal makes sense. And, that’s probably why Ed Stefanski won’t pick up a phone.

You are clueless
And, why am I clueless? Some supporting details would be nice.
As a diehard Gallo/Knicks fan who lives in Philly, I would cry endless tears of joy to be able to watch Danilo play so close to home. I hope it happens. But highly doubt it.
