Villanova jumped out to a 16-1 start this season, then ended it by losing five straight. The fact is, they likely didn’t deserve a spot in the tournament. Doesn’t matter now as the season is over. In fact, the game was a microcosm of the entire season as the Wildcats led most of the way before falling asleep at the end.
