Just when you think maybe the Flyers have turned the corner back to being the odds-on favorite to get back to the Stanley Cup Finals, they go out and put up a goose egg.

A couple of days back, the euphoria of a convincing win over the Penguins had many thinking the Black and Orange were back to playing Peter Laviolette hockey.

The Flyers continued their struggles heading into the playoffs with a 1-0 loss to Atlanta on Thursday.

Then, they go out and lose a 1-0 game to the Thrashers. Granted, there are positives to take away from the game in that Bobrovsky turned away 21-of-22 shots. But, the fact that the Flyers couldn’t get a goal on 43 shots is disconcerting.

Nik Antropov recorded the game winner at the 10:22 mark.

With just a handful of games remaining, the Flyers find themselves just one point ahead of Washington for first in the East. Losses to a team on the outside of the playoffs is not acceptable at this point. Especially when you want and need to get on a roll heading into the playoffs.
