#Showyaluv, Philadelphia, for the streaking Sixers who are bringing playoff basketball back to the City of Brotherly Love.
After a lost season with Edward Jordan, and a 3-13 start this season, the Sixers have somehow turned around their fortunes and officially clinched a playoff birth with a convincing win over the New Jersey Nets and stud Deron Williams on Friday.
The Sixers clinched a playoff spot on Friay. #Showyaluv
In fact, the Sixers are 37-23 since their putrid beginning. Coach Doug Collins has these guys knowing they can win and playing defense. He has worked toward players strengths, something Jordan couldn’t do a year ago.
Honestly, the team is back to where they were a couple of years ago with a young nucleus and Thaddeus Young an Andre Iguadala playing well. But, with the addition of Jrue Holiday, Lou Williams embracing his role as sixth man, and Elton Brand balling like he’s an all-star, it’s now exciting.
This team has not been nearly this exciting since the end of Iverson’s first time with the Sixers.
With just six games left, the Sixers are pretty much locked into the sixth seed and will face either the Celtics or Heat. In either case, expect your Sixers to put up a fight.
Stomp your feet everybody, for Philadelphia, 76ers….10-9-8-76ers!
