The Phillies continue making history at the turnstiles with their 126th straight sellout. They also set a record with 136,254 fans piling into the Bank. That is the largest crowd for a three-game series in the eight-year history of The Money Producer known as CBP.
Thanks to numerous beat writers for tweeting this information.
This brings to mind a couple of thoughts. First, it’s great to see the fan support grow now that the Phillies ownership has shown a commitment to winning. This is no longer the late 90s when the team couldn’t draw flies if it placed a week-old fillet in the 700 Level.
Second, maybe GQ Magazine wants to rethink calling us the worst fans in sports. The worst fans don’t sell out stadiums like CBP and Lincoln Financial Field day after day, year after year like we do!
