Not only do other cities house the village idiots, but apparently the police use taser guns to calm unruly fans as well.
A fan at a Pittsburgh Pirates games this weekend was tased and beaten down by the Po-Po with a billy club. Shout out to Crossing Broad for finding this via Deadspin.

Nothing screams pride like “USA!” chants while watching a guy go down via taser guns and clubs.
While we don’t see exactly what precipitated this, we can assume safely the guy was acting like a jackass. He gets Pittsburgh on the board in this year’s Moronic Fan Watch standings, which the thugs of Los Angeles lead.
45 years ago, me and a couple of buddies were at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena watching pro-wrestling (Bruno Sammartino). One fan became upset and we saw him coming down from the top of the arena. He pushed past two officers near the ring and jumped in. They grabbed his legs and pulled him out. Another LEO showed up and as he was dragged, he got a wooden shampoo (police baton to the head). We gave him a standing ovation. It was the only legitimate fight that night.
