RAMS POSITION EAGLES ADVANTAGE
Same Bradford enters his second season, following a solid rookie campaign that makes you think Steve Spagnuolo.  Bradford threw for 3,500 yards and 18 TDs. Also tossed 15 INTs. Quarterback Michael Vick is coming off a career year, his first as a starter in Andy Reid’s offense. His 21TDs/6INTs look solid. But, he threw an interception every week after his statement game in DC. Which Vick shows up today? Vick is a proven Pro Bowler with elusive feet. EAGLES
Stephen Jackson is a beast. Dude has 2,600 yards the last two years. He’s also good for 45-50 receptions a year. Running Back LeSean McCoy is coming into his own. Posted his first 1,000-yard season last year and hauled in 77 passes. Both can get the job done.

PUSH

Danny Amendola is a solid guy, and Brandon Gibson, an Eagles draft pick three years ago, is the other starter. They don’t have the resume of the Eagles group. Receivers DeSean Jackson barely saw the field this preseason, while Jeremy Maclin and Steve Smith did not. Still, all three can ball. Jason Avant is the best possession receiver in the league. Brent Celek posted solid numbers in a down year last year. While the Eagles guys didn’t get much time on the field this preseason, the Birds depth is just too much. They’ll get the advantage virtually every week.

EAGLES

The Rams unit at least has some cohesion from a year ago. Offensive Line The Eagles group returns one starter to his position of a year ago – Jason Peters. Todd Herremans makes his first start at RT. Kyle DeVan just showed up this week. RAMS
Howie Long’s son, Chris, is one of the best young pass rushers in the game, and could have a field day against the Eagles line. Defensive Line Trent Cole leads this group. Can Jim Washburn keep Jason Babin playing at a Pro Bowl level? PUSH
James Laurinaitis is a solid MIKE backer. The son of WWE executive John Laurinaitis is a 100-plus tackle, 3 sack guy. Linebackers The Eagles are young and unproven. Jamar Chaney showed flashes of being solid in the middle last year. He’s now the starting SAM backer. Rookie Casey Matthews is not his brother. RAMS
Quintin Mikell joins the Rams defense. Otherwise, this group just doesn’t match up against the Eagles. Secondary NNamdi Asomugha, Asante Samuel, Domonique Rodgers-Cromartie. Enough said. EAGLES
Josh Brown is a proven, reliable kicker. Danny Amendola is a nice punt returner. Special Teams Jackson is Jackson. Alex Henery is a rookie replacing David Akers RAMS

ANALYSIS: The Eagles have the playmakers on offense to overcome the Rams. But, it will be close, especially as the Eagles line learns how to play together and Maclin, Jackson and Smith get into the swing of things.

EAGLES 20, RAMS 19
