To say the SEC rivalries are intense is an understatement of massive proportions. Each team and its alumni expect a shot to ball in the BCS title game every year.
The trash talking doesn’t disappear once players become teammates of each other in the NFL. Eagles linebacker Jamary Chaney and wide receiver Riley Cooper demonstrated that precise point via Twitter on Thursday.
Florida’s Riley Cooper and MSU’s Jamar Chaney engaged in an SEC Twitter brouhaha on Thursday.
Cooper, the University of Florida product, decided to moonlight as a t-shirt salesman. Chaney, the effervescent Mississippi State Bulldog, was busy getting hyped for his alma mater’s Thursday night showdown against No. 3 LSU. Here’s what transpired:
RileyCooper_14: “Get your swamp studs shirts at Gator Mania in Oaks Mall in Gville or www.shopgatormania.com”
Jamar51Chaney: “Ready to watch them #MSUdawgs in action tonight. Bout to knock off LSU!”
Jamar51Chaney: “@RileyCooper_14 nobody wants those shirts bro”
RileyCooper_14: “ ‘@Jamar51Chaney: @RileyCooper_14 nobody wants those shirts bro’ You must live under a rock”
RileyCooper_14 “ ‘@Keenanclayton57: @RileyCooper_14 bro can I get my shirt.’ I got you bro. Cant say the same about ur boy @Jamar51Chaney”
Jamar51Chaney: “@RileyCooper_14 @Keenanclayton57 mann I wouldn’t wear one of them shirts if someone paid me to. Lol!”
Something tells me this one isn’t over. Somebody will be singing a fight song before the weekend’s over.
