Once revered, now maligned, outfielder of the future Domonic Brown will attempt yet another comeback in his attempt to get back to Philadelphia. Out since June 15 with a knee sprain, Brown returns to Lehigh Valley according to the team’s radio crew.
OF Domonic Brown activated off the DL today after missing 30 G since 6/15 (knee sprain). He hit .579-0-4 (11-19, 7 2B) in 5 rehab G in GCL.

As you can see, Brown torched Gulf Coast League pitching. He was turning it around before his knee injury as he was coming back from a hamate bone injury that usually wipes out a player’s power for a bit. He struggled all last year with his average and power and started this year the same way. Then, he went on a tear before the knee injury. In his last five games for the Ironpigs, he hit .579 with four runs scored and four RBI.
Domonic Brown is ready to resume his road back to Philly after knee injury.
Brown may never become the next superstar in the Phils lineup, but he can certainly be a good outfielder who can hit sixth in your lineup. With Juan Pierre and/or Shane Victorino headed out of town before the trade deadline, Brown will get a chance to show his stuff in Philly by season’s end.
