What exactly will $12 million buy a team in today’s NBA? That depends on who is spending the money.

If it’s Nets GM Billy King, $12 million nets you Kris Humphries. Yes, the same Humphries that enjoys 72-day marriages, fake psycho ex pregnancies and putting up decent numbers on bad teams.

If it’s the Sixers braintrust, that money can get you Spencer Hawes, Lavoy Allen and Kwame Brown.

Kris Humphries somehow got the Nets to hand over $24 million for the next two years.

Yeah, those who questioned the signing of Brown at just $3 million per season last week, we’ll again ask: Who did you want the Sixers to target this summer? Suddenly, the Sixers use of money looks pretty good when compared to a Nets team that added Joe Johnson and nobody else from last season’s debacle.
