Apparently, the Eagles aren’t thrilled with backup tight end Clay Harbor. Then again, 22 catches and two scores in two seasons aren’t exactly eye-popping numbers.
But, this?
Eagles are bringing Jeremy Shockey in for a physical I can confirm. Said someone w knowledge of such things tho: “I thought Shock was done.”

Granted, Shockey is still somewhat productive. Playing with Cam Newton last year, the guy we love to despise hauled in 37 passes for 455 yards and four TDs. That would have ranked him sixth in receptions, fifth in yards and tied for third in receiving scores on last year’s Eagles squad.
Put Shockey on a team where he is surrounded by DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy and Brent Celek and the University of Miami product can still be productive. If he wants to chase another Super Bowl ring, this could be the place.
The Eagles better think ten times before bringing this cancer into the locker room.
Having said that, do we really need his personality in the locker room? Did we forget about this?
.
You could do better by bringing Jeff Thomason out of retirement again. Or Chad Lewis (H/T to Sammy Chon). Or maybe Bubba Miller who reported eligible every play against the Rams once.
Any of those guys would be better served to play for the Eagles right now. We don’t need Shockey’s penchant for drunken escapades and lack of team-football in the locker room. If the Eagles sign Shockey, they might as well bring in Tiki Barber at running back, too.
