Sixers fans will get to see the new-look frontcourt of Spencer Hawes at the 4 and Kwame Brown at center in person when the NBA season opens on Halloween. The Sixers will host the Denver Nuggets at the WFC with the ball being tossed in the air at 7 p.m.

Among other highlights on the schedule:

  • The team opens up Atlantic Division play on Nov. 4 — the day of the NYC Marathon — against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden at noon;
  • The Sixers get their first chance to seek revenge against the Celtics for last postseason’s series when Boston comes to Philly on Nov. 9;
  • Andre Iguodala’s Team USA teammates Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden lead the Oklahoma City Thunder into South Philly on Nov. 24;
  • Kobe and the Lakers guarantee a WFC sellout on Dec. 16;
  • The team has its annual Holiday Schedule from hell by playing 11 of 13 games on the road from Dec. 18 until Jan. 9.  This includes a trek through Golden State, Portland, LA Lakers, Suns, Thunder and Spurs.
  • The team ends the season on the road against the Pacers on April 17.

The Philadelphia 76ers open up the season at home against the Nuggets on Oct. 31.
