UPDATED: Doug Collins did not say ‘bitch.” Thanks to reader for Ed cluing us in.

ORIGINAL TEXT: Doug Collins still bitches about Team USA getting screwed in the 1972 Olympics. Now, he’s using that word on television. You have to listen to this a few times, but you can make out what seems to be the following, “USA knew one thing only, gold or bust, bitch.”

Following the broadcast, Doc Rivers immediately mentioned Doug Collins to serve as Mike Krzyzewski’s successor to lead Team USA into the next Olympics.

Doug Collins had an eventful afternoon in London including developing the phrase, “Gold or bust, bitch.”

Collins is well-respected by players around the league and the world (at least those who haven’t played for him). He would be a solid ambassador for the game and Team USA.

Let’s just hope the Sixers don’t relieve him of duties during the 2016 Olympic Games.

That makes more sense. Can’t see Collins cursing.
