Payton Manning looks to hoist the Lombardi Trophy for a second time today.

Whether you’re a hard core football fanatic or a casual fan, the 44th installment of the Super Bowl should continue the string of solid, down-to-the-wire contests we’ve seen the last few years. And, if you’re a person who dislikes defensive battles, you’re in luck.

With two of the best offenses in the NFL today, the Saints and Colts should have no trouble finding the end zone. Drew Brees and Payton Manning will be able to move the ball up and down the field, and both can lead their teams to scores on any given play.

We’re not going to make this a long post at all. There’s no point really. Block pools don’t rely on any actual football knowledge.

The bottom line is we see the Saints playing a tough game and being in a position to win. However, manning is on the road toward establishing himself as one of the best to ever play the game. He needs another Super Bowl win or two to join the conversation.

Consider it fair game to compare him and Montana after today.

While the Super Bowl has morphed into one of the biggest events in the nation, nothing beats the sham that is the official Media Day prior to the game.

Some of the dumbest questions ever asked have taken root at the annual media session that is attended by entertainment reporters who have absolutely no clue about sports or professional football. We can’t believe DailyPhiladelphian.com was denied credentials for this year’s session which will take place on Tuesday.

In any event, here are our top 10 questions that we’d ask if we were in attendance at Super Bowl 44 Media Day.

6. For Hank Baskett: Does Kendra ever scream Hugh Hefner’s name in bed?

7. For the quarterbacks: Would you rather get sandwiched by Ray Lewis and Brian Dawkins, or have Terrell Owens as a teammate?

8. For Dallas Clark: Why didn’t your parents just name you A-hole?

9. For Jahri Evans and Kyle Eckel: Where would you rather be — the Super Bowl or Wing Bowl?
